I have really enjoyed my time at Upton, it has been filled with interesting lessons that I feel I have learnt lots in. The extra-curricular activities are varied, and I enjoy being part of the band as it allows me to play my instrument (flute) with other talented musicians. I am involved in the school council which gives an insight into how the school is run; I feel privileged to be part of the student voice. The trips I have had the opportunity to go on have been amazing and provided me with a chance to see people in a different light. We have been to PGL Boreatton and tried new activities and I recently enjoyed a performance of Romeo and Juliet organized by the English Department.
Learner
I am currently a Year 9 at Upton-by-Chester High School and have enjoyed my time here so far. I have enjoyed the opportunities that our school provides. All the way from school trips, to interviewing a new Deputy Headteacher. I have been a part of multiple extra-curricular activities such as cricket and badminton club. Just recently, I went to the Town Hall to take part in the local debating championship. Myself and a group of 13 other learners helped construct and perform the debate on whether fast food should or should not be banned and we ended up winning. You will have your favourite subjects but I can confidently say that all the teachers will be there to support you every step of the way.
