They have achieved remarkable individual success and have demonstrated their resilience and commitment to learning with this fantastic set of results. Almost a third of grades achieved were at A* and A, representing a tremendous success.

Many learners are now getting ready to head off to university to follow their chosen path with others heading off into work or apprenticeship. We are really pleased that so many learners are able to make such positive next steps.  

Lee Cummins, Headteacher, said he was delighted with the results of the Year 13 learners.

He added, “The learners have achieved a great set of results across a range of A Level subjects and vocational qualifications.  We are so proud of the achievements of every one of our young people. The impressive grades achieved have only been obtained through the hard work of each individual learner.”

“The Sixth Form provision in the school continues to grow both in terms of learners joining the Sixth Form and in terms of the range of courses we offer. These results are testimony to the hard work of the learners and staff who have worked tirelessly to make them happen. We couldn’t do this without the great support we receive from parents and I would like to thank them for making sure that every young person achieved at the highest level.”

This year we have seen a fantastic number of learners being awarded A*- A including 5 successful applicants to Oxford or Cambridge. Some of our exceptional performances by learners include Anna Clough, Samuel Hollins, Szymon Macuda and Sophie Mason who all achieved 3 A*s in their chosen A Levels. Muhammad Abdullah, Eugenie Boudes, Anthony Chappell, Leo Elvin, Ellis McCarroll, Alexander Thorunnarson- Moss and James Wall who all achieved at least 2 A*s within their chosen A Levels. Whilst these grades are impressive we would also want to take the opportunity to celebrate the achievement of all of the learners in the class of 2023.
