Year 7
Year 7 is broken down into six units, exploring topics stretching from the medieval to the Georgian period. Learners are encouraged to consider how these units link together, in a central study of power and its application.
Learners will be provided with an overview of each unit taught in Year 7 in their exercise books.
Unit 1 – What remained of Anglo-Saxon England?
Unit 2 – Why could nobody ignore the Church in the Middle Ages?
Unit 3 – Was the Middle Ages simply a story of the king losing power?
Unit 4 – Why did the Church encourage burnings, bombings and beheadings?
Unit 5 – Why did historians call 1688 the Glorious Revolution?
Unit 6 – What hidden histories have you not been taught this year?
