Carnegie Medal visit to the Storyhouse
A group of KS3 learners travelled to The Storyhouse yesterday for an event marking the announcement of the winner of the Carnegie Medal.
The Carnegie Medal is awarded to the UK's best book for young people each year. The Kings School, Blacon High School and Queens Park High School were also in attendance. As part of the event, there was a "book themed" cake competition. The prizes of book tokens were won by our learners! (Emelia - Ink theme, Rosie - Northern Lights theme, Alice - Percy Jackson theme). Our learners were a credit to Upton as they mixed with the other schools and worked on presentations together.
