At Upton-by-Chester High School, learners receive feedback in a variety of ways and both verbally and in writing. 

Teachers provide literacy feedback as required to support the literacy needs of all learners. Teachers use the whole school literacy marking codes when marking written work and learners have time in lessons to respond to the feedback. 

Teachers draw attention to common misconceptions in lessons and model correct use of grammar and punctuation.
