Year 8 Drama learners have one, 1-hour lesson over the fortnightly timetable. Year 8 Drama is about applying the performance skills developed in Y7 to Devising Theatre, exploration of Theatre Practitioner, Stanislavski and his systems, comedic plays and exploration of British playwrights. Learners continue to explore bot Acting and Technical Theatre in preparation for Y8 Options.

Learners will attend a production by our link partner, Storyhouse, to experience live theatre. Learners fully utilise online streaming platforms such as National Theatre Live and Digital Theatre Plus.
