This week has been a particularly busy week at Upton-by-Chester High School.
The beginning of the week saw the school's Christmas Music Performance. This took place in the school hall, and we were treated to some wonderful singing and instrumental performances by some very talented young people. It was a pleasure to watch and was a great opportunity to see the learners performing in such a proficient way.
On Tuesday evening, we hosted the public engagement event for the new school building. We welcomed approximately 60 members of the public and parents / carers into the school to view the plans. It was a great opportunity for people to ask about the process of construction and the operation of the school once it is completed. Thank you to everyone who attended and a reminder that the engagement process remains open until Wednesday 18th December. There is further information on the school website https://www.uptonhigh.co.uk/newbuild
Yesterday I met with Year 10 learners who performed really well in their most recent report. It was good to meet with them and celebrate their success at the start of Year 10.
Looking ahead to next week for our final week of term you will see below that we have some further festive events including the annual Christmas Dinner Day on Tuesday. Just a reminder that we finish at the normal time of 3.10pm on Friday 20th of December.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
Yours faithfully,
Mr L Cummins
